Ellen and Elizabeth Maniatty
Carole Hartwell, Marianne Berman, Barbara Butterworth, Roger Niland, Deborah Leonard, Ellen and Elizabeth Maniatty (pictured above), had work accepted into the Granby Land Trust Show "Celebrating New England's Natural Beauty" running until Dec. 8 at Lost Acres Vineyard in Granby. Both Carole Hartwell and Marianne Berman won awards.

Melissa Meredith will have a “Clouds and Trees” exhibit in the Simsbury Library Program Room from Nov. 1 - 30.

Meghan Shanley Waskowitz won Third Place in the "Common Threads" Show at the Farmington Valley Arts Center.

Shirley Mae Nue, Sarah Ryor and Carol Ganick had work accepted into a juried show at Kalaveshi Arts, 136 Simsbury Rd. Avon. The reception is Sat. Nov. 16, 6-8pm and the show runs through Dec. 15.

Simsbury Artists
Rita Bond, Lori Racicot and Deborah Leonard will be participating in the Simsbury Artists Holiday Show and Sale, Sat. Nov. 23, 10am - 4pm at the Simsbury Free Library, 749 Hopmeadow St. (1 block North of the Simsbury Library).

Cyd Gorman had a photograph accepted into the Five Points Gallery Small Works juried exhibition. This show will run from Nov. 22, 2024 to Jan. 3, 2025. The opening reception will be Friday Nov. 22 from 6-8pm.

Joan Brault, Alicia Carmona-Levy, Roger Niland, Sarah Hathaway, Justine Coleman, Cyd Gorman, Shirley Mae Neu, Ishrat Abid, Carmina Ayazides, Ellen Maniatty and Julia Parker Post have work at the Avon Town Hall exhibit, running until Feb. 16.

Carmina Ayazides, Deborah Sacks, Shirley Mae Neu, Karen Israel, Arlene Pomaski and Michael Sacks have work in the Canton Artists' Guild "Holiday Pop-Up Exhibition" at Gallery on the Green in Canton. This exhibit will run until Dec. 14.

Justine Coleman will be exhibiting at the Holly Boutique Craft Fair on Thur. & Fri. Oct. 17 & 18 from 9am - 6pm and Sat. Oct. 19 from 9am - 3pm. Cash or checks (no credit cards) will be accepted and lunch will be available on Fri./Sat. from 11am to 2pm. Free admission to the event at the North Canton Community United Methodist Church, 3 Case St. North Canton.

Justine will also have work at the Christmas Cottage on Thur. & Fri. Nov. 7 & 8 from 9am - 6pm and Sat. Nov. 9 from 9am - 3pm. Cash or checks (no credit cards) will be accepted at this event held at the St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 224 Lovely St. Avon.

Darla DiRusso will collect new and gently used art materials, before the Sept. Oct. and Nov. demo meetings, to be sold at a Tag Sale Event. Proceeds will go to the Avon Arts Association Scholarship Fund. Please price your donated items. Suggested items include: books, paper, canvas, graphite, pencils, erasers, sharpeners, frames, sponges, brushes, paint. (NO toxic items, such as turpentine).

Shirley Mae Neu received an Honorable Mention in the exhibit "Moved by Abstraction" for her mask "Weekend Warrior" and a First Prize for her mixed media piece "Solar Energy" in the exhibit "Form & Function" at the Arts Center East in Vernon.

Karen Israel's pastel painting,"The Guardian of Central Park West" won the Art Du en France Award at the Pastel Society of America's 52nd National. Her pastel "Sundials" won the Pastel Society of America Award at a juried show at the Lyme Art Association.
